Cambodia has a tropical wet climate with very low seasonality. Britannica.com explains a tropical wet climate as a climate with very "distinct" wet and dry patterns. It is typically more dry during the winter months and wet during the summer. These periods of wet and dry are caused by monsoon. Although there is change in precipitation, there is little change in temperature. The annual range of temperature for Phnom Penh is 4 degrees C and for Kampot it is 2 degrees C. Compared to Denver, Colorado USA, which experiences high seasonality and an annual range of temperature of 22 degrees C, Cambodia is much more tropical and has the same climate and temperature year around.
